The Message for You

Are you saved?

We ask you the most important question of life.  Your joy or your sorrow of a whole eternity depends on it.  The question is: Are you saved?  That means: Are you sure that you will go to heaven when you die?  The question is not: Are you a member of some church? ...but: Are you saved?

The question is also not: How good are you? ...but: Are you saved?  No one can receive the blessings of God or go to heaven if they are not saved.  Jesus Christ said to Nicodemus in John 3:7, "You must be born again."  In His Word God tells us the only plan for salvation.  The Plan is simple!  You can be saved today.

First you must realize that you are a sinner.  "There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10) and "For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:22-23).  This situation is the same for everyone.  That means, initially we are all sinners, regardless of how ethical we live or how "Christian" we were brought up.  You don't have a chance to be saved if you don't acknowledge that you are a sinner before God.  Because you are a sinner and God, who is holy, cannot have any contact with sin, you are condemned to die.  "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)  "Sin ... brings forth death." (James 1:15)  Death means separation from God, judgment, forever.  In the Bible God calls this place "hell".  How horrible!  Yes, but it's true because God says so.

But God doesn't want that, because He loves you.  That's why He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into death.  He died for you.  "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)  "Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed." (1 Peter 2:24)

Jesus, the Son of God, had to die.  He had to shed His blood.  "For the life of the flesh is in the blood." (Leviticus 17:11)  "Without shedding of blood there is no remission." (Hebrews 9:22)  We cannot understand how our sin was laid on Jesus, but God says in His Word that it happened.  It is true, because God cannot lie.  The Philippian jailer asked Paul, "What must I do to be saved?" and he answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31).

Just believe in Him as the One who bore your sins, who died in your place, who was buried, and who rose again for your justification.  Pray to Him now.  "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13).  The first prayer that a sinner should pray is written in Luke 18:13 "God, be merciful to me a sinner!"  You are a sinner and surely you're sorry that you are.  Right now, wherever you may be, lift your heart to God in prayer.  No long prayer is necessary, because God is waiting to save you.  Just say, "God, I am a sinner, I'm sorry, I want to have a change of mind, be merciful to me and save me for Jesus Christ's sake."  And now take Him at His Word.  "For whoever [that includes you] calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13).  Whoever ... shall be saved – not may or could, but will be saved.  Just take God at His Word.  If you have done what He said, then claim His salvation by faith after His Word.  "Believe ... and you will be saved."  No church, no good deeds, no one but Jesus Christ alone can save you.

The simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner, and because you are a sinner, you must eternally suffer in hell, or believe in Jesus Christ, who stood in God's judgment in your place and died for you, who was buried and rose again.  Just call to God, confess that you are a sinner and ask Him to be merciful to you and to save you for Jesus' sake.  Then take Him at His Word and claim His salvation.  You may say, "That can't be all I need to do to be saved." Yes, it is all, absolutely everything!  Thank God that many have been won over for Christ by this simple plan of God.  That is biblical, because it is God's plan.  Believe it and follow Him today.  Now is the time – today is the day of salvation.

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)

"Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth." (Proverbs 27:1)

If it's not completely clear to you, read it over and over again until you understand it.  Don't close this page before that.  Your soul is worth more than the whole world.

"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Mark 8:36-37)

Make sure that you are saved.  You need salvation more than anything else in life.  If you lose your soul you miss heaven and lose everything.  May God help you that you get saved today.
