Exposition of the Letters to Timothy

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote this letter to Timothy, dealing with the order in the assembly of the living God. This divine order is not only related to the assembly of God, but should be a sign of every Christian, whether male or female, married or unmarried, old or young, servant or master, poor or rich.

In the second letter to Timothy, Paul writes of "hard times" because the failure of men has led to disorder and decay. It is precisely in these days of decay that Paul writes to Timothy to instruct him, to exhort him and to encourage him to hold fast to the Word of God:

"But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of , knowing from whom you have learned them, ... All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
