"But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God". (1 Corinthians 6:11)
God speaks in his Word, in the Bible, of sanctification in two different ways. First, He shows that all believers are sanctified. This refers to the position of the faithful before God: We are washed, we are sanctified, we are justified. On the other hand, the Bible also shows us the side of consecration. God invites us: "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord". (Hebrews 12:14)
This booklet explains the two aspects of sanctification and its meaning.
