Exposition of the Acts ("A People for His Name"), Vol. 1 (Polish)
Exposition of the Acts ("A People for His Name"), Vol. 1
In the Old Testament God had separated a single people for himself; the New Testament shows that after the day of Pentecost God takes out from all nations "one people for his name" (Acts 15:14): the assembly.
The Acts of the Apostles tells of the beginnings of the assembly of God. From the Acts of the Apostles we can learn how the assembly emerged from the hand of God, what characteristics it had in the beginning and what activity it developed. Because these characteristics of the first Christians should also characterize us today, the study of Acts is of great practical importance.
This volume deals with Acts 1 and 2 verse by verse, focusing in particular on two important topics: Speaking in tongues and the meaning and practice of Christian baptism.
