Exposition of the Letters to the Ephesians and Galatians

Paul, the apostle, wrote this letter to the Galatians because the healthy doctrine was falsified, the ground of grace was abandoned, and Christ's faithful were separated. Seducers in Galatian, who loved their religion, whose center is man, jealously attacked the person and the office of the Apostle. But the assemblies in Galatian had lent their ear to these seducers. The enemy had succeeded in influencing their position towards the apostle and taking the ground under their feet: "You have become estranged from Christ ... you have fallen from grace." (Galatians 5:4)

In the letter to the Ephesians, the Holy Spirit reveals the riches of the grace of God. For those who have already received this grace, this letter gives wonderful teachings and exhortations about our heavenly position, our responsibility, our privileges and our duties. We are called up to lead our practical life in accordance with our heavenly position. The central theme of this letter is "Christ and His assembly" - their intimate and eternal relationship, the assembly: His body and his bride.

These two letters are considered by R. Brockhaus and H. L. Heijkoop in a well-understandable and profound way. A great help to understand the teachings of these letters and bring about a usefulness for the practical life of faith.
